About Jessica

Close-up of a woman with blonde curly hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, standing in front of a blue wooden wall.

I have been in the therapy field for nearly two decades. I knew from a young age that I wanted to practice medicine. My journey has taken me along the path from nursing to nutrition, integrative health psychology to counseling. I am now embarking on the next chapter where I bring my years of training and experience, together with my passion to create a holistic practice where I can help women live their healthiest, well balanced lives. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, as well as an integrative health counselor.

Outside the therapy room, I'm a mom to five kiddos, ranging from early elementary school to getting ready to leave for college. My hours are full of cooking, reading and researching, time outside with our dog, and working in the garden with our chickens. My husband — a mental health and addictions counselor — and I also run a martial arts studio together.

MY MISSION

Fierce & Flourishing Wellness was born out of my experiences as a therapist, healer, mother, and perimenopausal woman myself. For years, I've had women come into my therapy office saying they don't feel like themselves — low energy, depression, anxiety, feelings of isolation, bodies that suddenly feel unfamiliar, questioning their life choices.

I want women to know that having these feelings doesn't mean something is wrong with them. This stage of life can be intensely challenging. Perimenopause affects more than just hormones — our bodies change, our minds change, our sense of self changes, our relationships change, our priorities change. I'm here to create a space where we can explore all of these changes together, and to be a guide along the way. I'm here to help women move through the midlife years so they can be fierce and thriving through perimenopause and beyond.
